OnPoint is a conglomerate of entities under one umbrella, and has been in existence since 2007. OnPoint Enterpriziz became an official sole proprietor, LLC in 2019. Its headquarters is based out of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
OnPoint K&D initially started in 2007 as a printing, service company, when its Founder and CEO just graduated from college, with a Bachelor's in Science, for Multimedia graphic and web design. OnPoint would service thee public, printing everything from stationary to banners, apparel and products, for its clients. In 2008 OnPoint would begin printing its own authentically designed products and merchandise.
OnPoint Apparel began as "Gheddo Anguish" Gear (G.A.G), with a full front printed T-shirt containing phonetically spelled urban slang terms. Thee shirt was a success, creating a supply and demand for it. OnPoint later, changed its name to OnPoint Apparel, branding and marketing it as OP Apparel. Printing, hats, T-shirts, hoodies, sweatsuits and products, etc. OnPoint rapidly became a rising clothing brand. In 2021, OnPoint created its "Sandy Elaine" Designer brand, focusing on a classy and formal Luxury apparel line, in Honour of OnPoint's Founder & CEO's, late Mother. OnPoint Apparel is thee second largest attraction, following only, OnPoint Entertainment.
As a former HipHop artist, OnPoint's Founder & CEO decided to expand thee OnPoint brand, into the entertainment world. Rather than being content with just being a "brand," thee company set out to start a Movement. And, MOVE... it did! In 2016 OnPoint Entertainment was born. OnPoint's Founder & CEO paired with a work colleague (by day)/comedian (by night). Thee two joined forces in bringing some of PHiLLY's BEST comedy shows, to local venues. Being innovative, OnPoint would then add after-parties to its shows to set it apart from other local comedy shows. NOT stopping there, OnPoint would add local musical talents to its bill. Later, OnPoint would be thee first in PHiLLY to merge comedy and poetry. OnPoint Entertainment's live shows has become its largest success, selling out its shows, and even being asked to take its shows on thee road, which it did, traveling to Harrisburg, PA to bring laughter. OnPoint has worked with some big name comics from near and afar, but, prides itself on keeping PHiLLY's local talents thee prime focus of its events.
Just before covid-19 hit n 2019, and shook up the world. OnPoint Entertainment's live shows took a hit. There was no place to go and very little to do. Again, being a former HipHop artist, OnPoint's Founder & CEO, along with his former HipHop partner teamed up to start an online radio show, to entertain thee masses. Hence, OnPoint Radio was birthed.
OP talk radio would air 7-days a week, 365 days a year, from 8pm-10pm EST. It would run for 3 years, until neglected issues with its hosting platform occurred.
OP Radio shows had 8-10 hosts, hosting a different show each evening. This brought a diverse listening audience from local to international listeners. Topics would range from current affairs to relationship talk. It too, would bring on local celebrity guests to interview, as well as interviews with local up and coming business entrepreneurs to help promote their businesses. OnPoint Radio's Poetry show hosted by a host in Kentucky, was its BIGGEST attraction. To date, OnPoint Radio shows can still be accessed and heard.
As a former Educator, teaching for thee School District of Philadelphia (SDP), OnPoint's Founder & CEO took an early retirement in 2014. Always being a community-oriented individual, and seeing thee impact he made on thee youth, he would eventually, return to thee public school sector, this time as a mentor.
While teaching, he and a teaching colleague teamed up to start an after-school program ("Bridging the Gap"). They would mentor thee youth on culture, history, etiquette, higher learning, resumes and interviewing, saving and budgeting , etc.
Once he'd left teaching, again, he would return to the classrooms mentoring 6th-8th grade students, in the same capacity as thee after-school program.
His co-worker remained teaching. As she would journey to different schools, she would call upon him to come in and mentor her male students. Before long, thee female students would generate interest and request joining thee program. So, thee two would begin mentoring both 6th-8th grade, girls and boys.
Later, calls from other former teaching colleagues would come in, requesting OnPoint 360's mentorship.
It didn't stop there. OnPoint's Founder & CEO would coach middle school girl's basketball teams and boys little league football teams.
NOT limiting thee OnPoint 360 Movement, thee company began to offer adult workshops at local recreation centers, educating adults on becoming first time home buyers, credit, and financial planning.
OnPoint is expanding both its entertainment and services.
